Groundbreaking on the A-14 Highway Expansion

Major Highway Infrastructure Upgrade Initiated

Vanilla Thunder officially commenced heavy earthworks and site clearing operations along the 42-kilometer A-14 highway expansion corridor. The project will convert the existing two-lane regional roadway into a high-capacity four-lane dual carriageway.

Attended by municipal leaders and engineering executives, the groundbreaking ceremony highlighted the economic and safety benefits expected upon project completion.

Project Scope & Timeline

The expansion encompasses earthwork grading, sub-base paving, bridge widenings, acoustic noise wall installation, and modern LED lighting systems across Coimbra district.

• 6 bridge structure widenings & seismic retrofits
• Continuous live-traffic management & safety detours

Completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, with staged lane openings throughout late 2025.
